Over the 4 year commemorations of the centenary of World War 1 we have marked several occasions as a Church and Parish, this has led to a number of events in the Church. These have included events on 4th August 2014 to mark 100 years since the start of the war, schools events to raise the profile of this event and a number profile raising events.
We are also fortunate in our village to have a wealth of letters written by Elizabeth Quintin Strouts to men of the village who were away at war. Many of these letters have now been preserved digitally for future generations and we hope to make these available online shortly. A gallery of pictures from the 4years can be seen below:
