You can join us any Sunday morning...

We are the Church of England Parish Church for the villages of Great Chart and Singleton in Kent. Located on the south-western side of Ashford, the parish is mainly rural in nature, although growing fast with new housing developments in Singleton. We look to challenge our community with the love of Christ, and believe that we have a significant role to play as the community grows and changes over the coming years.

In addition to Sunday Services, we also have services on Wednesdays in St. Mary's Church, and at other times at locations throughout the parish - particularly in care homes and old peoples homes.

Services...

Our worship takes place at two locations in th eparish each week:

- at the parish church in Great Chart

- at the Village Hall in SIngleton

Services at Great Chart are generally more traditional in style, and begin at 9:30am each Sunday. Most weeks there is a communion service here - although the first Sunday of each month is an all-age service, suitable for everyone.

Meanwhile, services at Singleton are more informal, and begin at 11:00am. Most Sundays there are separate activities and teaching for children at the Singleton services.

About St. Mary’s...

People have met for worship at a church in Great Chart since the mid 7th Century. This long tradition continues in the picturesque setting of the current St. Mary’s Church.

The parish church congregation is drawn from a wide area. They join with a four-part choir and a large team of bell-ringers to meet and give praise and thanks to God each week.

The church at Singleton Village Hall began in 1993, to respond to the spiritual needs of the growing village community. Services in the village hall, on Hoxton Close, are more informal and contemporary, with groups for children and young people up to the age of fifteen.
